Basic Rules The strategy behind cornhole is simple: Players aim to toss a bean bag through a hole in a board or into a wooden box to score points. Whichever player scores 21 points first - a bag through the hole scores three points and a bag on the cornhole board scores one point - is the winner. For those who want to play using the official setup, a bit more time is necessary. Game Setup

Equipment
Cornhole platforms should be a rectangle measuring 48 by 24, and are usually made of plywood. The hole is 6 inches in diameter and is centered in the rectangle. The only opening to the underside of the platform is through the hole, though some games do have open sides. The surface of the cornhole board is very smooth and a surface finished with a slick finish. Finally, the bags should be made from two fabric squares with a double seam on each side. The bags are each filled with about two cups of corn feed and the finished bags should weigh about 15 ounces.
Variations
Cornhole players can play as singles, doubles or on teams with more than two players. Players can break the game into innings or simply take turns for a more casual approach; each player must always toss all four bags during his or her turn. If the game ends in a tie, the players continue playing until one team or player scores.
